About Christopher
Hi, my name is Christopher. Looking at my stats for the number of years I have played and coached may turn off a lot of people and have them question if I’m a valuable coach. Well let me fill you in quickly. I played sports my entire life. I started with basketball but soon noticed I was enjoying soccer more. In sixth grade I decided to go full fledged into soccer in hopes I could one day get a college scholarship. While playing on a very competitive team for soccer, my middle school gym teacher started telling me how I should learn to play tennis and play for his high school team when I get older. I decided to teach myself for the next two years in hopes I could play varsity tennis for my high school. Once high school approached I noticed how my soccer coach had little knowledge on how to teach a young student of the game and after being a starting varsity soccer player my freshman year, I decided to pursue tennis. That same year I played no. 1 singles for my tennis team. Since I w
as initially self taught, I had a lot of mechanical problems with my strokes so it was an uphill battle to learn all I could before college. I’m sorry if this is a long story but in the end I ended up playing Division I tennis for Rider University, which is where I am currently playing. Why is this story important? It’s important because I understand how to build and develop a junior player in a far shorter time than most coaches. I do not waste your time and I have an eye for form like no other. I have watched thousands of hours of footage on form and can teach anyone how to hit with the same fundamentals as the top pros. I understand how to use small progressions in building a player and also have experience with working both on the mental game along with the physical one as well. In conclusion I’m a very energetic and passionate coach that will push your junior to become her or his very best. I am compassionate but I will drill them like they’ve never been drilled before.

Teaching Experience: 2 years

Teaching Style
I don’t just drill, I teach. Anyone can throw a ball and say hit it, but it’s how a coach gets him to hit it that matters. There is a physicality to the game, but it’s far harder to train the mind. If a player can get their form and mind straight the easiest thing is to get match fit. Form is a priority and everything else comes after.

Hobbies
I play soccer, piano, guitar and do a little bit of stock investing as well.
