About John
I am a USPTR-certified instructor. I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I have had teaching instructions from the late Tim Gullikson, Pete Sampras’ teacher. I have been to many workshops on Quickstart and 10 and Under Tennis as well as many tennis teaching camps. I have worked with tennis pros such as Dennis Vandermere, who was the founder of USPTR, and Todd Martin, a former no. 5-ranked player who is very active in 10 and Under Tennis. My students range in age from 3 to 80 years old. I still play competitive tennis in the super seniors. I have all the neccessary equipment for teaching.

Teaching Style
My teaching style creates an enviorment that instills good sportsmanship, a desire for excellence, camaraderie and proper stroke development. I also emphasize proper footwork, which I consider to be the foundation of a strong tennis game.
Hobbies
I was a low handicap golfer, and I also teach golf. I’m a certified scuba diver and I spend lot of time in the gym.
