About Tim
I am a lifelong tennis player, teacher and coach. I was a 6.0 rated player in my college days at a top-8 NCAA Division II school in California and taught tennis throughout my life, including coaching many seasons of high school tennis. Mentored a few nationally ranked juniors, accompanying them to their respective national tournaments at Kalamazoo MI. An entrepreneur by trade, a father of two and married for 22 years, I love sports and believe the larger questions of why we are here are keys to enhanced athletic performance.

Teaching Experience: 20 years

Teaching Style
I believe in hitting as many balls as possible with the time and resources allotted, like video feedback, advocate for meditation based exercises, encourage use of ‘Warrior Yoga’, emphasize how mental training on the court should enhance performance and well-being off the court in all endeavors as per the curriculum I created for ‘The Mindful Awareness Tennis Institute’.

Hobbies
Sports, by order of passion: snowboarding above all else(!), a huge golf enthusiast and teacher (2.5 handicap), volleyball, softball, basketball, table tennis, squash, badminton, disc golf … and enjoy spectating sports as well. Hobbies: piano, private pilot, EMT/rescue, drone pilot, astrophysics/cosmology/consciousness/philosophy, technologist
