About Aaron
Hi, my name is Aaron. For the last 6 years I was the head tennis coach for adults with learning disabilities at a non-profit organization in the South Orange area. I taught basic tennis skills every spring and prepared the clients for competition at sectionals and Special Olympics. I had a very successful team each year with many of my players winning medals, including an undefeated gold medalist in Division 1 singles. I am very proud of their accomplishments. I have instructed tennis to general populations as well. These included: An assistant JV coach at Pingry Prep school (Martinsville, NJ), First Serve Tennis Academy (Berkley Heights, NJ) where I traveled to various locations in NJ and instructed kids and beginner adults, Camp Taconic – Tennis instructor at a sleep-away camp in the Berkshires. I am passionate about tennis and play regular recreational tennis throughout the year and in local tournaments. I believe in living a healthy lifestyle and tennis is a great outlet.
Teaching Experience: 9 years
Teaching Style
I typically teach kids and adults who have a USTA rating up to 3.5. Typically I cover the fundamentals first: this includes grips, groundstrokes and volleys, followed by serves. Proper footwork is stressed. I’ve also been practicing yoga for over 10 years and can incorporate some good stretches before the lessons.
Hobbies
Yoga, Drums.
