About Pete
I began playing with my father at age 12. When I was 15, our dentist graciously donated a lesson provided by long-time pro Jeff Coggins who turned out to be a great teacher and friend over the years. I continued throughout high school, college and beyond. Throughout those years, I continued learning from several tennis pros, gaining knowledge on all aspects of this wonderful sport. I still compete competitively and also play for fun. In 2010, I took an opportunity to teach for Steve Vaughan’s Wild West Tennis Camp in Sunriver, Oregon and became a USPTA certified tennis professional. I am a Prince Tennis sponsored teaching pro. I’ve since taught several children and adults of all levels. My ability to make lessons fun and create individualized programs has been incredibly fulfilling for me, and my students. Very few things in this world are more enjoyable for me than teaching.

Teaching Experience: 5 years

Teaching Style
I follow the USPTA lesson guidelines for optimal learning, optimal use of time and optimal value. I focus on having fun and giving students the most bang for their buck. I emphasize footwork and movement almost as much as I do on the strokes.

Hobbies
My son, fly fishing, spending time outdoors
