How to Prepare Your Child for Competitive Tennis: Step 4

STEP 4: Get the Family Involved In USTA Jr. Team Tennis

Once you see your youngster has the passion for tennis and has decided on their own that they want to play competitively, start looking for a program your kid can commit to on a regular basis. With the USTA Jr. Team Tennis you’re child will be able to participate in a team setting that will simultaneously make them more comfortable and give them more experience while on the court. From a competitive perspective it is the ideal situation but much like the objective of other team sports it’s a great way to make new friends.

If you want to be close to your child and take part in his or her tennis experiences, consider getting involved with Jr. Team Tennis as well. The program offers volunteering opportunities for parents which doesn’t necessarily require you to know how to play tennis.
